In the last 24 hours, 7 more children died with measles symptoms across the country. On Tuesday (October 27), the Directorate General of Health Services' regular health bulletin said that the child who died of confirmed measles in the next 24 hours from 8am Monday was from Dhaka Division. With this, 110 people died of confirmed measles and 1,130 with symptoms this year. The total death toll stands at 1,240.
In the last 24 hours, 1,295 new patients with measles and symptoms were admitted to various hospitals in the country. By division, the highest number, 567, were admitted in Dhaka Division. Then, in order, Chattogram 248, Barishal 116, Sylhet 108, Khulna 96, Mymensingh 83, Rajshahi 41 and Rangpur 36.

According to DGHS data, from March 15 this year to now, a total of 199,227 people have been admitted to hospitals in the country with measles symptoms, of whom 191,090 returned home after treatment. In the same period, the number of suspected measles patients in the country stood at 223,784, of whom 23,541 were confirmed to be infected with measles.
