This information was disclosed in a notification from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Friday. From 8 am Thursday to 8 am Friday, the highest number, 246 people, were admitted to hospital in Chattogram Division and 241 in Dhaka Division (excluding the two city corporations).

In addition, 133 people were admitted to Dhaka South City Corporation, 130 in Khulna Division, 76 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 44 in Barishal, 44 in Rangpur, 37 in Mymensingh and four in Sylhet. At the same time, 953 people recovered and left hospital.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services, in the first 25 days of September alone, 114 people died from dengue and 34,258 were admitted to hospital. This year, two people died in January, two in February, one in May, 13 in June, 36 in July and 43 in August.

Among dengue patients this year, 62.4 percent are male and 37.6 percent are female. From January to Friday morning, a total of 70,104 people have been infected and 211 have died in the country.
