Covert elements exist not only in Jamaat-Awami League, but also in BNP: Mir Shah Alam
State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Mir Shah Alam has remarked that BNP, like Jamaat-Shibir or Awami League, also has ‘Boat and covert’ elements.

He made the remarks as chief guest at a views-exchange meeting titled ‘Development Potential, Problems and Challenges of Bogura’ at Mamoin Convention Center in Bogura on Thursday (October 22).

Regarding Bogura's development, the state minister said the government believes in equal development of all regions of the country. For the past 20 years, the people of Bogura have been deprived of development, and the previous Awami League government deceived the people of the northern region with promises of development. At this time, he highlighted various plans, including establishing a railway, an airport, a city corporation, WASA and a sports village, to meet Bogura's development deficit.

He also mentioned that no untoward incident occurred during the festival due to the vigilant guarding by the administration and BNP leaders and activists.
