He visited and paid tribute to the graves of Ziaur Rahman and Khaleda Zia at the Zia Udyan area in Agargaon in the capital on Tuesday (September 1) morning.

Since morning, enthusiasm and fervour were seen among BNP leaders and activists around the Zia Udyan area centring on the founding anniversary programme. They brought processions from different places and raised party slogans.

At that time, leaders and activists expressed their determination to make BNP stronger and better organised by following the ideals and political philosophy of the party's founder Ziaur Rahman. They also called for working unitedly to establish democracy, the country's sovereignty and people's rights.

During the tribute, BNP acting Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed, Chief Whip of the National Parliament Nurul Islam Mani, Water Resources Minister Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie and leaders of different levels of the party were present.
