An analysis of the data shows that although remittance growth was relatively higher in the first two months of the fiscal year, it fell to 2.2 percent in September. However, on a three-month basis, the overall flow is still significantly higher than last year.

Bangladesh Bank said that on September 30 alone, $105 million in remittances came to the country. This flow of remittances is playing an important role in increasing foreign exchange supply and managing pressure on foreign transactions.
