Three issued show-cause notice over cake-cutting in tribunal lock-up
The tribunal administration has issued show-cause notices to three people over an incident of cake-cutting in the lock-up of the International Crimes Tribunal.

On Monday (September 7), the Tribunal Registrar’s Office confirmed the matter. It has been learned that the cake-cutting incident took place in the lock-up on August 18. At the same time, allegations were raised that relatives of the accused entered the lock-up carrying extra food.

However, Ziaul Ahsan’s lawyer, Naznin Nahar, denied the allegation of cutting a cake. She said the lock-up is not a place for celebrating birthdays, and there is no opportunity to get a cake or cut one with anyone there.

The tribunal administration has issued show-cause notices to three people and sought their explanations concerning the incident.
