On Monday (July 27), the Ministry of Public Administration issued separate notifications in this regard.
The notification stated that the concerned officers have completed 25 years of service. They have been compulsorily retired from government service in the public interest under the authority conferred by Section 45 of the Government Service Act, 2018.
It further said that the retired officers will enjoy all kinds of entitled retirement benefits as per government rules.
According to sources at the Ministry of Public Administration, these officers who have been sent into compulsory retirement were currently serving as Officers on Special Duty (OSD) with the rank of Joint Secretary.
It is noteworthy that amid various controversies surrounding the 11th National Parliamentary Election of 2018, discussions had been ongoing for a long time about several administration officials who served at that time. It is in this context that the government's decision has come.
