'Except Israel' returns to passport, July mass uprising symbol added to watermark
Bangladesh's new design e-passport is again including the phrase 'Except Israel'. At the same time, the symbolic image of the 'July mass uprising' is being placed as a watermark inside the passport.

This information was announced in a notification from the Ministry of Home Affairs on Sunday (July 19).

According to relevant sources, several landmarks and symbolic images from the previous version have been removed from the new design passport. These include the mausoleum of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Tungipara, the Independence Monument at Suhrawardy Udyan, the Model Mosque, Bangabandhu Bridge (Jamuna Bridge), Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Novo Theatre, Bangabandhu Satellite, Padma Bridge, Metro Rail, Cox's Bazar beach image with a boat, Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant, and Mujibnagar Memorial.

It is learned that various changes have been made to the security features and design of the new passport. As part of this, new symbols and security elements are being added instead of the previous watermark and various landmarks. In particular, the symbolic representation of the 'July mass uprising' has been included as an important part of the new design.

Additionally, the decision to reinstate the phrase 'Except Israel' has been incorporated into the new design. As a result, the new passport will again state that it is 'valid for all countries of the world except Israel'.

Officials have said that the new design e-passport will soon be issued, reflecting the country's contemporary history and national identity while maintaining international security standards.

If necessary, this can be made more concise, in the language of an online news portal, or tailored for a Facebook post.
