IAPB chief meets Prime Minister over eye health care
Discussion on strengthening cooperation to prevent blindness and reduce visual impairment

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman had a courtesy meeting with the Chief Executive Officer of the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB), Peter Holland.

The meeting, held at the Cabinet Division of the Bangladesh Secretariat on Monday (July 6) at 11:30 AM, discussed various issues related to the development of eye health care in Bangladesh, prevention of blindness, reduction of visual impairment, and expansion of mutual cooperation in this sector.

Health Deputy Minister Dr. M A Muhit was present at the meeting.

The Prime Minister's Deputy Press Secretary Shahadat Swadhin confirmed the matter of the meeting.

Later, at a briefing held at the Secretariat, Health Deputy Minister Dr. M A Muhit and IAPB Chief Executive Officer Peter Holland highlighted various aspects of the meeting and the prospects for future cooperation.
