Medical examination for Malaysia-bound workers starts 31 October, instructions to be cautious about fraud
The medical examination for Malaysia-bound workers will start from 31 October. The Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment has said that the examination can be conducted only at its approved medical centers. Any medical report done earlier will not be accepted for immigration clearance.

The ministry said the list of approved medical centers will be published on its website soon. Until further instructions are given, agencies applying for BMET clearance must submit relevant papers and VDR visa documents to approved centers for examination. Meanwhile, brokers and dishonest circles are trying to take passports and money from workers by claiming medical tests without permission. Therefore, workers have been warned not to hand these over to anyone without confirming approval.

Medical centers and recruiting agencies that disobey government instructions will face strict legal action, including suspension of operations and cancellation of approval. If anyone has information about any illegal medical test or related fraud, they have been requested to inform the ministry with evidence by email (secretary@probashi.gov.bd).
