Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Deputy Commissioner Md. Akhtar Hossain said that among those detained from the central office of the Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (Jasad) in Gulistan of the capital, all except 29 have been released.
He said that scrutiny of the detained persons is underway. After the scrutiny, the next decision will be taken.

It is learned that former president of the Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) Abu Jafar Surya, who was detained from the Jasad office, was also released early this morning.

Jasad said that the party's central representatives' meeting was organized at the central office with police permission. During the meeting, police conducted a raid and detained several leaders and activists.
Police said that upon receiving news that members of Awami League and its affiliated organizations had gathered at the Jasad office, a raid was conducted there. Police also said that at that time slogans of ‘Joy Bangla’ were chanted inside the office.
