Relatives claim that Pintu Das, owner of 'SK Shilpalay' in Chandpur city, has gone into hiding with his family under pressure from business loans and demands to return gold kept as collateral by customers.
Since last Tuesday, no trace has been found of Pintu Das, his wife Rimi Das, and their two sons Priyam and Rupam.

Close relative Upama De said Pintu Das was burdened with debt. Recently he faced pressure and threats from multiple customers to return mortgaged gold. It is believed that since then he has been in hiding with his family members.

Several customers have alleged that they have not yet received their gold ornaments mortgaged with Pintu Das. Some have also filed complaints at the police station in this regard.
Chandpur Sadar Model Police Station OC Faiz Ahmed said the matter of not finding Pintu Das and four family members will be investigated and necessary action will be taken.
