Opportunity for government employees to get consecutive 4-day holiday
At the beginning of August, government employees have the opportunity to enjoy a consecutive four-day holiday. This long break can be availed by taking just one day of casual (optional) leave.

According to the government holiday calendar, there will be a general holiday across the country on 5 August (Wednesday) on the occasion of 'July Mass Uprising Day'. After that, although government offices will be open on 6 August (Thursday), taking casual leave on that day will allow a consecutive four-day break combined with the next two days of weekly holidays.

Possible holiday schedule:

  • 5 August (Wednesday): General holiday for July Mass Uprising Day
  • 6 August (Thursday): Casual/optional leave
  • 7 August (Friday): Weekly holiday
  • 8 August (Saturday): Weekly holiday

With this opportunity, government employees can plan to spend time with family, travel to different parts of the country, or complete personal necessary tasks.
