If There Are Cases Against Chuppu, They Will Be Investigated: Law Minister
Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md. Asaduzzaman has stated that if any legal cases exist against the recently former President Md. Sahabuddin (Chuppu), they will be examined in accordance with the law.

He made these remarks on Saturday (July 25) morning while speaking at a consultation meeting on human rights held at CIRDAP in the capital.

"If there are any cases against former President Sahabuddin Chuppu, they will be investigated. At the same time, it will also be verified whether those cases are politically motivated," the law minister stated.

Referring to cases filed against eight individuals injured during the July movement in Chittagong, he assured that if the allegations are proven false upon investigation, steps will be taken to withdraw those cases.

The law minister further stated that extrajudicial killings in the country have currently dropped to zero.

Reaffirming the government's firm stance regarding rape cases, he emphasized that no rape cases will be withdrawn, regardless of how influential or prominent a political leader the accused might be.
