He made this call during his speech as the chief guest at the 'Primary Education Award-2026' ceremony held at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center in Agargaon, Dhaka on Wednesday (July 15).
At the event, the 'Primary Education Award-2026' was handed over to students who won competitions at various levels across the country. Additionally, individuals and institutions were honored for their special contributions in the education sector.
According to the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, as part of implementing the government's election manifesto pledges number 17 and 18, sports, cultural, subject-based quizzes, cubing, and debate competitions were organized for students from grades three to five. These competitions started at the upazila level and were held step by step up to the national level.
This year, 2 crore 18 lakh 28 thousand 693 students from school levels across the country participated in these competitions. The best students selected after passing through various stages were awarded at the national level.
Additionally, for special contributions in the education sector, 12,384 individuals in 15 categories and 65,546 institutions in two categories were honored, with the best individuals and institutions selected from among them.
