Attack and arson at former education minister Nawfel's residence in Chattogram

An attack and arson took place at the residence of Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nawfel, a leader of the banned Awami League and former education minister, in Chattogram. Around 2am on Thursday (August 6), his residence at Chashma Hill in the city's No. 2 Gate area was attacked, vandalised and set on fire. The residence is the family home of late former Chattogram City Mayor ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury.
