7-day free special classes for primary students start in Chandpur

A 7-day free special class has been organized for primary-level students in Dahshri village, Shahrasti upazila, Chandpur, aiming to enhance their skills in English and mathematics. The program began on Wednesday (July 15) at 7 AM, jointly initiated by the local social organization Dahshri Navajagaran Sangha and Dahshri Government Primary School.

Although floodwaters have started to recede slightly in Satkania, Banshkhali, and Chandanaish of Chattogram, the suffering has not ended. Due to power outages, a shortage of clean water, food scarcity, and collapsed communication systems, lakhs of people are still living in misery. In many areas, water inside homes prevents cooking, forcing countless families to rely on dry food. Meanwhile, disrupted road communication is hampering relief distribution and emergency services.

An allegation of organized attack has been made in Manipur village of Chitoshi East Union in Shahrasti Upazila of Chandpur over a previous dispute. In this incident, Md. Rakib Hossain, who identified himself as a July fighter and MIS cardholder, filed a written complaint at Shahrasti Model Police Station naming 16 people and 10-15 others as unidentified accused.
