The Information Minister said, 'Holy Eid-ul-Azha is a great religious festival for the Muslim Ummah. This festival highlights the glory of sacrifice and the lesson of self-sacrifice before people. Every year, through this festival, the value system is awakened, teaching how to hold the highest mentality of sacrifice for the satisfaction of the Almighty. Eid-ul-Azha gives us that lesson.'

He sought prayers from the countrymen on the day of holy Eid-ul-Azha to face this challenge under the leadership of the Prime Minister. He said, 'On this joyous day of Eid, we especially seek prayers from the countrymen so that Almighty Allah inspires us all with the spirit of unity, sacrifice and empathy. At the same time, may He give us the strength to move our country forward on the path of development and prosperity.'

After the Eid congregation, Maulana Mohammad Azizur Rahman, Imam of South Sarikal Madhyapara Darul Jannat Noor Jame Mosque, offered prayers for the peace, progress and prosperity of the country, the nation and the Muslim Ummah. Leaders of various political parties, local dignitaries and people from different classes and professions were present at that time.
