Jamaat announces month-long program on second anniversary of July mass uprising
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has announced a month-long program to mark the second anniversary of the July mass uprising. The party's Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar announced the program at a press conference held at the National Press Club on Tuesday.

He said various programs will be observed until August 5, demanding the implementation of the referendum verdict and the July charter, convening a session of the Constitution Reform Commission, expediting the trial of the July killings and crimes against humanity, and demanding justice for the killers of martyr Osman bin Hadi. Additionally, Jamaat will support and participate in the programs announced by the 11-party alliance.

The program began on Tuesday with a press conference and discussion meeting. The announced programs include—from July 2 to 9, exchanging views with the families of the martyrs, injured, and disabled of July in the capital, reminiscing at memorial sites, organizing discussion meetings and prayer gatherings.

Besides, on July 16, on the occasion of 'July Martyrdom Day', a discussion meeting will be held under the initiative of the two city corporations of Dhaka. From July 18 to 31, exchange of views with the families of martyrs and injured, reminiscing, discussion meetings, and prayer events will be organized across the country.

As part of the program, mass processions will be held at the city, district, and upazila levels on August 1. Additionally, separate programs will be observed under the initiative of labor organizations from August 2 to 4.

On the upcoming August 5, on the occasion of 'July Mass Uprising Day', Jamaat will participate in rallies and processions organized by the 11-party alliance in the capital as well as in districts, cities, and upazilas across the country.

Others who spoke at the press conference included Maulana ATM Ma'sum, Dr. Hamidur Rahman Azad, Maulana Abdul Halim, Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Jubayer, Mohammad Selim Uddin, and Nurul Islam Bulbul.
