During the eviction drive, illegal structures were demolished with heavy machinery, including payloaders, and a large quantity of goods was seized. More than a hundred City Corporation workers and six platoons of police took part in it. DSCC Administrator Md. Abdus Salam said hawkers have no opportunity to sit on the main road other than in designated places. In particular, the road from Gulistan to Sadarghat will be kept completely clean. If anyone sits there again after the eviction, strict action will be taken. DSCC Chief Property Officer Md. Rezaul Karim and other officials conducted the drive.
