Democracy has triumphed in the country under BNP’s leadership: Fisheries and Livestock State Minister

He said this in his speech as chief guest at a public meeting held at Shaheed Smriti Municipal Park in Tangail city on Wednesday evening on the occasion of BNP’s 48th founding anniversary.

The state minister said, “Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman established multiparty democracy. Begum Khaleda Zia has been struggling for democracy for a long time.” He also claimed that BNP has led various pro-democracy movements.

Highlighting various government initiatives, Sultan Salahuddin Tuku said, “The work of implementing the election pledges has begun within six months of the government. Family cards, farmer cards, assistance to imams and muazzins, digging canals, tree plantation, and providing bags and clothes to students are part of these efforts.”

He further said, “Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is working for the people of the country.” At the same time, he called upon all to remain united against conspiracies against the country’s independence, sovereignty, and democracy.
