He said this during a meeting with Danish Ambassador Christian Brix Møller at the Secretariat on Tuesday (August 25). The meeting discussed Denmark's cooperation in water supply, waste management and development projects.

The meeting also discussed Denmark's funding for the third phase of the Sayedabad Water Treatment Plant project. The country will provide about Tk 4,500 crore for the project. Of this, Tk 1,500 crore will be given as grant and Tk 3,000 crore as low-interest loan.
State Minister for Local Government Mir Shah Alam said that once the project is implemented, the pressure of demand for clean water in Dhaka will reduce significantly, and the government's financial pressure will also be less due to Denmark's funding.
