Initiative to make Mozzaffar an accused in a case of the International Crimes Tribunal

Sources said that an application to show him arrested in this regard has been submitted to the International Crimes Tribunal. The hearing on the application is scheduled to be held on Tuesday (July 21).

Earlier, last Thursday, following a conversation with Masud Uddin Chowdhury, Mozzaffar Hossain was arrested after nearly 45 years. Later, as part of the investigation, he was also taken to the scene of Ziaur Rahman's murder.

Yesterday, Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed said that the trial of this accused in the Ziaur Rahman murder case would be held through a court-martial.

However, the prosecution of the International Crimes Tribunal said that the necessary preparations for the arrest and trial of Mozzaffar Hossain in a case of crimes against humanity have been completed. An investigation into the relevant allegations against him has also begun.
