Government working to increase foreign investment: Putul

She said this while speaking as a special guest at the inauguration ceremony of Megasan Turkish and Megasan Bangladesh Medical Industries in Ishwardi, Pabna on Saturday (July 4).

The State Minister said the current government is working on the development of the country's communication infrastructure. In this continuity, he also mentioned the necessity of opening Ishwardi Airport considering its importance.

He further said that Megasan Bangladesh will open new doors of possibilities in the country's medical equipment industry. Once the establishment is operational, dependence on importing medical equipment will decrease, and hospitals in the country will be able to collect necessary medical equipment at comparatively affordable prices.

Highlighting the development plans of his own constituency, the State Minister informed that initiatives will be taken in the future to establish a kidney dialysis center and a diabetes hospital in Lalpur. At the end of his speech, he visited the production plant of Megasan Bangladesh.

Although Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md. Sakhawat Hossain was scheduled to be present as the chief guest at the event, he could not join directly due to government engagements. Joining virtually from Narsingdi, he wished success for Megasan Medical Industries and assured that government cooperation will continue.

Others who spoke at the event included Pabna District BNP convener Habibur Rahman Habib, Director General of Bangladesh Sugarcane Research Institute Dr. Kabir Uddin Ahmed, Pabna Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Yasmin Munira, Independence Award-winning physician Professor Dr. Kamrul Islam, Chairman of Megasan Turkey Arif Cilektein, Director Yunus Cilektein, Additional Superintendent of Police (Ishwardi Circle) Pranab Kumar, and Upazila Executive Officer Hasan Mohammad Shoib.

Presided over by Managing Director of Megasan Bangladesh Engineer Nazmul Hasan, the event's Executive Director Md. Wahidul Hasan presented the activities of the establishment. The event was conducted by the establishment's advisor Md. Shahid Hasan Bobby Sardar.

It is noteworthy that the foundation stone of the assembly plant of Megasan Medical Industries Bangladesh Limited was laid on February 28, 2025. At that event, Chairman of Megasan Turkey Arif Cilektein unveiled the foundation stone as the chief guest.
