Two drug traffickers arrested by DB in Mathbaria; yaba and Tk 1 lakh cash recovered

The arrestees are Rubel (29) and Emadul Dafadar (27).

According to police sources, acting on secret information, DB police conducted a special anti-drug operation in Safa Union. At that time, the two individuals were detained. Later, 2,015 yaba tablets and Tk 1 lakh in cash were recovered from them.

To keep Mathbaria drug-free, MP Alhaj Ruhul Amin Dulal (Pirojpur-3) and BNP leader K M Humayun Kabir handed over Tk 5,000 as a reward to the District Detective DB police. At that time, DB police and thana police pledged to continue the anti-drug operations.

Preparations are underway to file a case against the arrestees under the relevant laws in this incident, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Rabiul Islam of Mathbaria Thana. Local politicians and civil society representatives demanded that drug traffickers be brought under the law by continuing the anti-drug operations.
