On Thursday (October 22), she posted the photo on her verified Facebook page and presented 22 sayings about religion and human behavior.
Rumin Farhana’s post with a photo in Durga attire and 22 sayings on religion and society
In the post, Rumin Farhana, citing examples of various crimes and moral decay occurring in society, writes that even if one does things such as taking bribes, sodomy, child rape, murder, violence against women, looting of wealth, adulterating food and depriving others of their rights, no one’s religion is lost. Using religion for sinful acts, hypocrisy, and oppression of the weak—religion is not destroyed through such acts; rather, she remarks, ‘religion is strengthened by nurturing the wicked.’
Finally, hinting at religious tolerance and social narrow-mindedness, she writes, "Religion is lost only when one is respectful toward other religions." In addition, mocking a section of society for thinking the ten-armed goddess Durga has eight arms, she writes, “Whatever, it is a society of fools, what more can be done.”
