Zaher Alvi returns to acting after seven months

In a Facebook post on Tuesday (October 13), Alvi wrote, ‘A small celebration, but a much bigger inspiration… the breeze of returning….’ Earlier, in another post, he wrote, ‘Won't you all welcome me...’.

Alvi's new work is being directed by Samir Rahman Rabbi and produced by Mahmud Hasan Rana. However, the actor has not yet disclosed details about the title, story, or possible time of its promotion.

A case was filed against him on charges of abetment of suicide in the death of his wife, Afra Ibnat Ikra. On June 18, he surrendered before a Dhaka court and applied for bail, but the court rejected it and ordered him sent to jail. Later, on June 24, after a two-day remand, he was again sent to jail.

Then, on August 3, Zaher Alvi secured bail from the High Court. After a long break, news of his return to acting has created interest among viewers about his new work. However, one will have to wait to know which work he is returning to the screen with.
