Shishir Monir and others were cowards; Shibir survived then by becoming Chhatra League

He made these remarks in a post on Facebook on Thursday (October 8). In the post, Rashed mentioned that a procession was held at Dhaka University under the leadership of Nurul Haque Nur demanding justice for Abrar's murder.

He claimed that Nurul Haque Nur's role in movements and struggles from 2018 to 2024 was important. In the same post, he also commented on Shishir Monir, a lawyer for the defendants in the Abrar murder case.

Rashed Khan alleged that during the difficult time of the movement, many of those now leading Shibir had no visible role, and they were leaders of Chhatra League at the hall and department levels. He also compared Nurul Haque's political role with that of Jamaat-Shibir.

In the post, he described Nurul Haque Nur as the ‘unrivaled young leadership’ of the anti-fascist movement and criticized Jamaat-Shibir.

Abrar Fahad was killed after being branded a Shibir activist—Rashed Khan also raised this point. At the same time, at the beginning of the post, he mentioned Abrar's father's comment about Shishir Monir, ‘the matter is painful’.
