The information was revealed in the regular dengue-related report of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Wednesday afternoon. It said that from January of this year until now, 289 people have died of dengue. During this time, 92,216 people were hospitalized.

Among the new deaths, there are two each in Dhaka South City Corporation, Khulna and Rajshahi divisions, and one each in Barishal and Sylhet divisions.
Among the patients hospitalized in the last 24 hours, 376 are in Khulna Division, 347 in Dhaka Division, 216 in Chattogram, 212 in Dhaka North City, 200 in Barishal, 176 in Rajshahi, 171 in Dhaka South, 110 in Mymensingh, 38 in Rangpur and 14 in Sylhet.
