He said these things when a delegation led by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. M. Enamullah of Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU) paid a courtesy call on the President at Bangabhaban on Wednesday morning.

During the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor briefed the President on the university's academic activities. He informed that currently nearly 15,000 students are studying at HSTU. He also highlighted the matter of a government allocation of Tk 600 crore for the university's infrastructural development.

Besides, the Vice-Chancellor sought the President's cooperation in solving various problems, including recruitment of teachers in vacant posts and the accommodation crisis for female students. The President assured cooperation in solving these problems and called upon maintaining the standard of education of the university to expand higher education in the comparatively lagging northern region.

During the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor invited the President to attend the upcoming convocation. The President accepted the invitation and assured that he would attend the event.

At that time, the President's Military Secretary, Secretary and Press Secretary, and HSTU's Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Treasurer and Registrar were present.
