On Thursday (September 10), a special mobile court led by the Executive Magistrate of BMET conducted a raid on ‘Triple A Overseas’ (RL-2630). During the raid, three boxes of passports collected irregularly from overseas-bound workers were seized.

Fraud in the name of sending workers to Malaysia, agency sealed
There are allegations that the gang brought would-be migrant workers from rural areas to Dhaka and arranged interviews in the name of recruitment to Malaysia. Relevant sources said money and passports were being collected in the name of recruiting workers in this way before the labor market formally opened.
Expatriates’ Welfare Minister Ariful Haque Chowdhury said no kind of fraud against migrant workers will be tolerated. Strict legal action against recruiting agencies that violate the rules will continue.

Initiatives have been taken to return the seized passports to their actual owners after the legal process is completed. The process of taking legal action against the concerned agency is also underway.
