Unite irrespective of party and opinion to eradicate drugs: State Minister

He said this while speaking as the chief guest at an anti-drug meeting of distinguished citizens organized by the district police at the auditorium of Bandarban Small Ethnic Groups Cultural Institute on Thursday afternoon.

The State Minister said, drugs destroy not only an individual but also the future of family, society and country. Therefore, alongside law enforcement agencies, people at every level of family and society must become aware to eliminate drugs.

He said, to keep the youth and young generation away from drugs, they must be involved in sports, cultural and educational activities. He also emphasized taking strict measures against drug dealers as well as building a social movement to reduce the demand for drugs.

Speakers at the meeting said that in addition to the administration, family and society must play a responsible role to make Bandarban drug-free. If everyone is united, it is possible to protect the future generation from the harmful effects of drugs.
