On Wednesday (September 2), the new prices were set at a meeting of BAJUS's Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring. The new rates came into effect across the country from 10 am.

Gold prices fall again in domestic market
According to the new rate, the price of 22-carat gold has been fixed at Tk 2,31,880 per bhori (11.664 grams). Besides, the price of 21-carat gold has been fixed at Tk 2,21,441, 18-carat at Tk 1,90,123, and gold of traditional method at Tk 1,55,306.
BAJUS said the new prices have been set considering the overall situation as the price of raw gold decreased in the local market. VAT is included in the fixed selling price. Therefore, no additional VAT can be collected from customers. However, making charges will be added according to the design of the ornaments.

Earlier, on Monday (August 31), BAJUS had reduced the price of 22-carat gold by Tk 4,474 per bhori and fixed it at Tk 2,36,254.
