He made this call as the chief guest at a views-exchange meeting held on Monday (31 August) morning in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner of Kishoreganj. It was his first views-exchange meeting after assuming responsibility.
State Minister for Information urges coordinated efforts for Kishoreganj's development
The meeting discussed various problems of the district including law and order, drug control, traffic congestion and recent incidents. The state minister assured that necessary steps would be taken quickly on these issues.
Presided over by Deputy Commissioner Sohana Nasrin, Superintendent of Police Mohammad Mizanur Rahman presented the law and order situation of the district at the meeting. At that time, leaders of district BNP raised various issues including the murder of Mithamain Upazila BNP president Jahidul Islam Jahangir Alam, a procession by a banned organization and death threats.

They demanded that the administration's role in these incidents be made more strict and effective.
At the end of the meeting, everyone was urged to work unitedly irrespective of party affiliation to maintain peace and discipline in the district, improve the law and order situation and reduce public suffering.
