The information was disclosed in the regular dengue bulletin of the Directorate General of Health Services on Saturday (August 29). It said that 996 new dengue patients were admitted to hospitals during the same period. Currently, 2,101 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals across the country.

The health directorate said the two who died in the last 24 hours were both men. So far, 39,586 people have been admitted to hospitals with dengue. Of them, 31,395 have recovered and been discharged.
