The Cabinet Division issued a notification in this regard on Monday (August 24). According to the notification, in the absence of the Prime Minister, first Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed, then Women and Children Affairs and Social Welfare Minister Abu Jafar (AZM) Md. Zahid Hossain, and later Industries, Textiles and Jute and Commerce Minister Khondaker Abdul Muqtadir will perform the duties.

Besides, through the new distribution of responsibilities, the responsibility of conducting parliamentary activities of the ministries of local government, information and broadcasting, food, civil aviation and tourism, and Chittagong Hill Tracts affairs has also been determined.
The notification said this new order will take effect immediately.
