IRGC claims destruction of US naval drone base in Bahrain

In a statement released on Saturday (July 18), the IRGC said that the 17th phase of 'Operation Nasr-2' involved an attack on a US naval drone base located in Bahrain. It claimed that the base was destroyed and a large number of unmanned naval vessels stationed there caught fire.

The IRGC further claimed that in the same operation, a US-operated artificial intelligence (AI) center in Bahrain was also targeted with ballistic missiles and drone strikes. According to their account, that facility, used for military target designation, was also completely destroyed in the attack.

As the reason for the attack, the IRGC alleged that the US had previously attacked various bridges and civilian infrastructure in Iran. The organization claimed that this retaliatory operation was carried out in response to that.

The statement also said that if the US continues to attack Iran's transportation infrastructure and bridges in the future, then US-owned or US-invested industrial, information technology, and artificial intelligence-related installations in the Middle East could also become targets of attack.

Additionally, the IRGC warned that countries in the Middle East that have allowed the US to establish military bases will also be considered US allies.
