Bangladesh Bank has stated that this decision was taken to ensure the supply and deposit of cash in areas adjacent to mango markets in Chapainawabganj, Rajshahi, Naogaon, and Natore districts, and to reduce the risk of cash storage for traders.

Banks open today in four districts during mango season
According to the directive, bank branches adjacent to permanent and temporary mango markets in Shibganj, Sadar, Gomastapur, and Bholahat upazilas of Chapainawabganj; Sapahar, Porsha, and Niamatpur upazilas of Naogaon; and various areas of Rajshahi and Natore districts will remain open even on weekly holidays.
Bangladesh Bank further stated that this activity will continue every Saturday until July 31. At the same time, scheduled banks have been instructed to operate branches and sub-branches on a limited scale while ensuring necessary security.
