Hajj return flights begin

On Saturday (May 30), the national flag carrier's first flight, BG-336, landed at Shahjalal International Airport from Jeddah at 10:35 AM.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines' Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kaizer Sohel Ahmed welcomed the pilgrims at the airport.

Present at the time were Biman's Deputy Managing Director (DMD) and Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO) Syed Moin Uddin Ahmed, Acting Director (Customer Service) Mohiuddin Ahmed, Executive Director of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport Group Captain S M Ragib Samad, and other senior officials of Biman.

Returning pilgrims were gifted flowers and bottles of holy Zamzam water at the airport. At the same time, Hajj pilgrims of Saudi Airlines were also warmly welcomed with flowers.

In this year's Hajj operations, Biman Bangladesh Airlines transported 38,679 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia on 98 flights.

 

Under the post-Hajj operations to be conducted from May 30 to June 30, a plan has been taken to bring back approximately 39,650 pilgrims to the country through a total of 106 flights.

Biman stated that as the national flag carrier, they are committed to ensuring professionalism, punctuality, and quality passenger service during the Hajj return operations.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has requested pilgrims to follow Biman's call center (13636), the relevant Hajj agency, or Biman's official website for the latest flight information.
