I was a victim of inappropriate touch in childhood: Priyanti Urbi

In a Facebook status, Priyanti Urbi wrote: 'Some incidents people never forget; they only learn to live in silence. I had learned too. That is why I always keep myself busy, so that the noises inside my head calm down a little.' 'But whenever I see news of any child being abused or raped, I crumble from within. Because, in my childhood, I too was a victim of inappropriate touch.'     Referring to that incident, Priyanti Urbi further wrote: 'At that time, I did not understand what was exactly happening; I only felt that this was not normal. My father and mother never touched me that way. Today I think about how much fear enters the mind of a 4-5-year-old child from such things. How many questions, how much discomfort, how many unshed tears accumulate over the years.' Recently, following the brutal murder of an eight-year-old girl in Pallabi of the capital, people from all walks of life across the country are protesting. They are demanding justice. Many celebrities are also protesting this incident. The actress shared her own experience in the context of that incident.
